Dolcetto pinapple -  Fair trade


Dolcetto pineapple is a fair trade project that enhances the pineapple of the Pan di Zucchero variety of Togo in co-operation with local bodies such as the Cooperative Préfectoral des Jeunes Producteurs Professionels d'Ananas Biologique, which represents 1,300 young farmers committed to working 500 hectares of organic pineapple. The fruit is slightly smaller than more common pineapples, white flesh, aromatic and very sweet. Unlike more traditional varities in Dolcetto pinapple the core is very tender and therefore totally eatable.
